This six week class is perfect for students that are looking to push their wheel thrown pieces beyond simple forms and also push themselves creatively. Students will start by creating pieces on the wheel and then over the course of six weeks will manipulate the form and combine with handbuilt elements. The class will include learning to design and plan ahead, surface decorating techniques such as Mishima and inlays, and playing with sculptural elements to enhance students' designs and ideas. This course is aimed at students who have completed Level 1 and are able to consistently center and throw a cylinder as high as it is wide. One bag of clay included. Prerequisite: Ability to center and pull walls up consistently, if unsure please contact the school to discuss which class is best suited to you. Ages 16 to adult.

No prerequisite is required. Please bring an apron or old towel to protect your clothes.
